Dubai: Residents in the Emirates can now breathe a sigh of relief as the rain begins to ease off following Saturday’s heavy downpour, which caused disruptions to daily life in the country.
Forecasts from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) range from largely clear to partly overcast. During the day, it is predicted to stay overcast over certain parts and maybe rain, especially in the eastern and southern regions.
It is predicted that temperatures will climb. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai on Sunday, the temperature is predicted to be around 27°C and 26°C, respectively. It is predicted to be humid overnight and on Monday morning, with the possibility of fog or mist forming in coastal and interior areas. It has been forecasted that the winds will be low to moderate, with occasional gusts. In the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, mild to moderate sea conditions are anticipated.
Following a powerful storm over the UAE over the previous two days, trucks were observed removing surplus water from flooded roadways as early as Saturday. On Sunday, cleanup efforts were underway throughout the nation.
Although there was still a chance of light rain in the north and south on Sunday, the intense rain, thunder, and lightning had mostly subsided by Saturday night in many regions.
Yesterday witnessed heavy rain in certain places, along with gusty gusts, hail, and lightning. As a result, flights and activities were canceled, wadis and beaches were closed, and several roads were partially inundated.
All emirates’ officials had, nonetheless, implemented an emergency plan to lessen the storm’s intensity.
