Abu Dhabi: TRENDS Research and Advisory has released a new report titled “Pioneering Future: The Integral Role of Women in Shaping AI.”
The outstanding contributions made by women to AI are highlighted in this research, which was carried out by Noor Al Mazrouei, Head of Trends’ AI and Future Studies Department.
The study looks at the biographies of prominent women in cutting-edge AI research, including Andrea Gallego, a professor of robotics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Fei-Fei Li, a computer science professor at Stanford University and the creator of the Stanford AI Lab.
Pioneers are showing a dedication to creating AI systems that are more ethical and inclusive. They work in a variety of fields, including education and healthcare, with an emphasis on solving problems in the real world.
The report offers specific instances of how women have contributed to the creation of AI applications, such as personalized learning tools, that cater to students’ unique requirements and help close the achievement gap. These initiatives show a dedication to offering top-notch education to everyone, regardless of background.
Despite making up just 22 percent of AI experts worldwide, women are actively driving the sector, according to the report. The paper features ground-breaking initiatives headed by female innovators, such Brain 2030, a project to model the human brain. These initiatives show how women can have a significant impact on AI.
The study’s conclusion emphasized that women’s transformational influence in AI extends beyond their technical competence, as they are a driving force behind ground-breaking advancements that ensure AI will continue to be both revolutionary and inclusive in the future.
