Sharjah: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) has participated in the Educational Innovation Conference which took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The foundation gave a thorough analysis of the impact of the innovative educational initiative “Teach with Pen,” which offers orphans educational and psychological support, at the conference. Innovative approaches to education were showcased at the Conference.
Mona Al-Suwaidi, Director-General of SSEF, expressed the foundation’s commitment to knowledge sharing and collaboration, “We actively participate in such events to exchange ideas and experiences. It’s crucial to stay updated on new developments in education to better serve and care for orphans,” Al-Suwaidi remarked.
Al-Suwaidi elaborated on the SSEF study, involving 972 orphans across Sharjah, central, and eastern regions, benefiting from “Teach with Pen.” The study underscored the importance of integrating academic support with psychological and educational guidance to enhance educational outcomes and well-being for orphaned children.
She went on to discuss the initiative’s usefulness in providing educational and psychological counseling services. “Teach with Pen” bridges the gap between psychology and education theory and practice by acting as a standard for the foundation.
The impact of unfavorable psychological circumstances on academic achievement was also covered in the study; this is a persistent issue covered in the program’s counseling services.
Al-Suwaidi emphasized the need for further program development, “This study is a valuable resource for educators. We must continuously improve such programs to better support orphaned children.”
The conference provided a forum for the discussion of a wide range of issues related to educational innovation, such as curriculum improvement, supervision, administration, and teaching technique development. It also discussed how educational psychology and specialized subjects like special education can be used to improve educational results and practices.
