Etihad Water and Electricity
The Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) was established in 1999 through Federal Law No. 31 of 1999. It operates under the guidance of the UAE Ministry of Electricity and Water and pursues various objectives. Its primary goal is to provide electricity and potable water to the residents of the Northern Emirates.
To fulfill this mission, FEWA, now EWE, focuses on maintaining a balance between production costs and distribution prices. It also works on standardizing pricing strategies, studying consumption patterns, and raising awareness to minimize electricity and water waste among consumers. Additionally, EWE is responsible for enhancing revenue collection methods.
