Sharjah: Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has received a delegation from the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) to advance mutual work, cooperation, and communication between the two parties.
The meeting was attended by Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, Mr. Omar Ahmed Suwaina Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MOIAT, Mr. Osama Amir Fadl, Assistant Undersecretary of Industrial Accelerators Sector at MoIAT, and Mr. Abdulla Al Shamsi. The Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Growth at MoIAT also attended the meeting. A number of SEDD delegations were present.
During the meeting, they discussed development, industrial plans, and policies to achieve interaction as well as integration in preparing future plans. They also focused on strategies and visions, as well as increasing their contribution to the GDP, in order to achieve the UAE’s future vision.
Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, thanked the Ministry for the permanent cooperation. Mr. Al Suwaidi stated that this initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improving its goals and objectives.
It also signifies the ongoing effort to develop the UAE’s economy, making it more competitive regionally and internationally while ensuring the well-being of its citizens.

In addition, Mr. Al Suwaidi added that this meeting reflects the UAE government’s concerns about achieving economic integration between all the emirates by interpreting the ambitious strategic plans of each emirate into development goals that would achieve sustainable economic development for the country.
The Chairman emphasized that SEDD, in line with the guidance of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, pays significant attention to small businesses and micro-commercial and industrial initiatives.
This approach values effort, determination, and individual experiences as essential to building the economy, rather than solely focusing on monetary gains.
This reflects the humane and wise vision of Sharjah’s Ruler, which is embraced by all institutions and departments in the Emirate of Sharjah.
