Sharjah: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has organized a scientific conference on the “Metaverse” in order to inform top officials and staff about the technology’s possible effects in the Emirates.
The Sharjah Training & Development Centre of the SCCI organized the symposium, which also had the goal of determining how prepared the chamber is institutional to adapt to the metaverse and how it may be used to improve services for the business community.
In addition to Chairman Mr. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Second Vice Chairman Mr. Waleed Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, and Director-General Mr. Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, attendees included SCCI board members, senior directors, and staff. The Chamber’s main office is where the event was held.

According to Mr. Al Owais, the symposium was planned to make sure that the SCCI is adequately prepared for an economy that is fueled by cutting-edge digital solutions. The Chairman also emphasized that by staying current with technology developments, particularly in the “metaverse” sphere, the chamber hopes to inspire creative ideas for the business community. With a focus on knowledge, innovation, and artificial intelligence, the UAE has achieved great strides in the digital economy and is well-positioned to become a hub for cutting-edge technology globally, Mr. Al Owais continued.
Mr. Taymour Shawky, the company’s general manager, Mr. Walaa El Din Muhammad, the business development manager, and Dr. Wael Al Hamarna, the projects manager, organised the event in collaboration with IT Corner. The symposium covered the “Metaverse” technology, the differences between XR, MR, AR, and VR technologies, its applications in the UAE, and the leading tactics and actions the nation has taken to cultivate business possibilities and investment in this promising industry.
