Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Economy and the European Women Association (EWA) have launched the “Investment Readiness Acceleration” program. It is an initiative that gives women-led entrepreneurs in the UAE the tools they need to succeed by teaching them how to navigate new markets, get finance, and pitch investors on their ideas.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, was present at the program’s inaugural event, which took place at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre. Other attendees included leaders and officials from the public and commercial sectors that support the UAE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As part of the Ministry’s Entrepreneurial Nation project, which was launched in 2021, the program supports the UAE’s efforts to promote gender equality and women’s participation in a range of economic sectors. The initiative’s goal is to encourage women to start businesses that advance the nation’s economy.
Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh highlighted the UAE’s progress in promoting gender equality and empowering women in the economy under the leadership’s directives saying “the new program with EWA is another step to further these efforts.”
Yulia Stark, President of the EWA European Women’s Association, emphasized the importance of empowering women in economic activities to promote sustainable development. “The program aims to provide opportunities for women to create projects that contribute to sustainable economic growth in and outside the UAE,” Stark added.
EWA is an organization that functions to achieve the economic empowerment of women. Its mission is to create an inclusive and supportive ecosystem that promotes gender equality, fosters women’s entrepreneurship initiatives, and advocates for development approaches that enable women to thrive in various economic sectors.
