Dubai: Tim Aerospace started construction of their new hangar at Dubai South, in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), Dubai’s aerospace platform devoted to the improvement of the aviation industry.
With a capacity for up to five wide-body aircraft of any kind, barring the A-380, the new hangar will be constructed with the maximum permitted design dimensions, making it one of the largest wide-body capable aircraft MRO hangars in the GCC.
Timor Shah Shahab, the founder and CEO of Tim Aerospace, and Khalifa Al Zaffin, the executive chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, attended the groundbreaking event at MBRAH in Dubai South, which was also attended by key executives from both organizations.
When the new facility is finished by 2025, it will offer a range of wide- and narrow-body commercial passenger and cargo aircraft types with high-quality and reasonably priced aircraft base maintenance services.
Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, said that, “Following the agreement with Tim Aerospace last year, we are pleased to witness the groundbreaking of the new hangar, which will be of added value to the sector given the huge demand for MRO services across the region, and its expected growth in the coming years. The aviation sector is a key contributor to Dubai’s economic development, and we are committed to supporting its growth and to cement the emirate’s position as a global aviation city.”
The world’s top airlines, private jet operators, maintenance repair organizations, and related industries can all find a free zone destination at MBR Aerospace Hub, which provides high-level connection to global aerospace firms. MBRAH, which was created by Dubai South, is also the location of training and educational campuses as well as maintenance centers.
