Dubai: The 2nd Edition of the “National Wellbeing Survey 2022” was recently unveiled by Ms. Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, the UAE Minister of Community Development.
The launch coincides with the “International Day of Happiness” which is celebrated every year on the 20th of March.
The Survey is part of the National Wellbeing Monitoring Initiatives and is implemented by the National Program for Happiness and Wellbeing in the Ministry of Community Development in collaboration with the Federal Competitiveness & Statistics Authority. The Initiative is organized every 2 years to measure the wellbeing of community members in the United Arab Emirates to determine affecting main factors in all sectors aligned with the pillars of the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031.
CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINESS
The National Wellbeing Survey 2022 is a part of the events and initiatives organized by the Ministry of Community Development at Expo 2020 Dubai to celebrate the International Day of Happiness.
The events organized at the Expo 2020 Site were attended by Mr. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), as well as other officials and experts inside and outside the UAE.
The celebrations began with the opening of Sustainability Gate at Expo 2020 Dubai with the participation of Ms. Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Mr. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh and Dr. Amer Al Sharif, Vice Chancellor of Mohammad Bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences “MBRU”, members of the wellbeing council, ministries’ undersecretaries, directors of government authorities.
In order to celebrate the special day, the Ministry of Community Developments organized various sessions and events, most notably the school of life initiative sessions of the National Program for Happiness and Wellbeing presented by Mr. Steve Harvey, the International TV Host, in addition to a number of sessions by international officials and experts featuring topics such as: ‘Shape of Wellbeing Post COVID-19’, ‘Wellbeing of Communities’, ‘Wellbeing and Happiness in Workplace’.
The launch of the “National Wellbeing Survey 2022” was also attended by Mr. Hanan Mansoor Ahli, Acting Director of the Federal Competitiveness & Statistics Centre, representative of the ministry’s partner in the survey.
The survey included (122) questions divided into three levels, namely, Advanced Country, Connected Society and Individuals’ Wellbeing.
