Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) will host the sixth edition of Culture Summit Abu Dhabi at Manarat Al Saadiyat from March 3rd to 5th, 2024.
The current edition, under the theme ‘A Matter of Time’, will feature an exceptional collection of thought leaders from various fields like art, heritage, media, music, museums, public policy, and technology.
The guests will investigate the role that culture plays in the way we relate to the notion of time. The concept of culture is believed to hold past, present, and future. The sessions will move from ‘mechanical time’ – characteristic of our contemporary era – to a ‘new cultural time’, realigned with the rhythm of human awareness and nature.
The Summit program will follow a specific sub-theme on a daily basis. It aims to reveal the evolution of our relationship with time. The discussions will also examine the challenges faced by culture and creative sectors as part of this evolution. It will also provide focused, functional solutions.
The daily activities will follow an agenda comprising keynotes, plenary sessions, panel discussions, and artist talks. The event will also feature case study workshops, creative conversations, policy sessions, cultural performances, and a visual art exhibition.
The event is organized with the support of global key partners including organizations like UNESCO, Economist Impact, Design Museum, Google, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, and the Recording Academy.
The Culture Summit is organized in association with the additional partners Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, Arab World Institute, Berklee Abu Dhabi, Club de Madrid, Cultural Foundation, IFACCA, Image Nation Abu Dhabi, Louvre Abu Dhabi, NYUAD, and World Cities Culture Forum, and Zayed National Museum, among others.
