Abu Dhabi: Yas Island has unveiled a virtual exploration platform, providing international visitors access to the emirate’s iconic landmarks. The users’ digital avatars offer a journey through attractions and cultural sites, showcasing Abu Dhabi as a leading tourism destination.
It comes as part of a pioneering collaboration between the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), Aldar, Miral, twofour54, and Ethara. Super League developed the virtual Yas Island experience on Roblox, which can be accessed at Yas Island Tycoon – Roblox.
In this digital adventure, users’ avatars explore various key landmarks in Abu Dhabi, including SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit, Etihad Park, Aldar Square, twofour54’s Yas Creative Hub, and an area dedicated to experiencing Abu Dhabi, featuring attractions like Louvre Abu Dhabi, Mamsha Al Saadiyat, Sir Bani Yas Island, Al Ain Oasis, and Al Jahili Fort.
Participants can roam freely across the 25-square-kilometer virtual space, enjoying a socially engaging and informative world designed for global entertainment and education.
In the virtual world of Abu Dhabi, players can enjoy a mix of interactive experiences, immersive environments, games, and upcoming unique events. They have the freedom to explore and create cultural and entertainment attractions within the city. As players advance through this virtual destination and its various attractions, they’ll encounter thrilling adventures like theme park rides, racing across Yas Island in fancy cars, and even constructing virtual homes.
Each player can personalize their experience with customizable avatars and look forward to surprise rewards along the way. The gamified experience will keep evolving with new partnerships and exciting additions.
