Sharjah: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), represented by the Sharjah Training and Development Center (STDC), has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Umm Al Moumineen Women’s Association in order to enhance cooperation in the administrative and vocational training field for the staffs of the association.
As per the deal, the STDC will prepare the training program’s subjects and outputs, supply experienced lecturers for all accredited courses, and supervise the programs which will take place remotely between the two parties. The Association will provide the necessary logistical support for STDC training programs.
Ms. Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber for the Support Services Sector said that it intends to accomplish both sides’ strategic goals of spreading a culture of institutional excellence, applying best practices in the development of human cadres, and instilling innovation and creativity in the workplace.
She noted that the deal reflects the SCCI’s desire to broaden the STDC’s spectrum of partners and invest its talents and expertise in training and qualifying cadres in government and corporate agencies and departments.
Ms. Amal Abdullah Al Ali, Director, STDC said, “Vocational training is one of the most important means of developing human capital. The training and development in its modern sense is an integrated framework and a strategic option in the human resources development system that the UAE seeks to achieve, to keep pace with the challenges of evolving business requirements.”
Ms. Al Ali further added that training facilitates the transfer of technical and practical information, allowing employees to meet any obstacles given by knowledge acceleration in the workplace.
“The agreement truly reflects the ongoing endeavors of the Association to achieve excellence in serving the community on scientific and civilized grounds, as well as openness to new target groups,” commented Ms. Asma Muhammad Shahdad, Executive Director of the Umm Al Moumineen Women’s Association.
