Sharjah: Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) has received the Impact Seal award (Silver Category) for its qualitative initiatives and track record in the fields of sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The Impact Seal is presented by the National CSR Fund (MAJRA). The award seal serves as a national recognition for CSR, evaluating, accrediting, and rewarding organizations’ practices in the realm of corporate social responsibility and sustainable impact that align with environmental, social, and governance criteria.
According to the statement, this show of appreciation also acknowledges their activities in sustainable impact and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals along with national priorities.
The award ceremony was held recently at JA The Resort in Dubai as part of the inaugural edition of the “World With Purpose” Summit 2023, which was organized by GHAYA, the UAE strategy consultancy, in partnership with the National CSR Fund (MAJRA), under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Economy.
Mr. Hassan Al Balghouni, Head of Corporate Communication at SIB, expressed the bank’s delight in bringing this honor, adding to its long list of exceptional and distinguished achievements.
Mr. Al Balghouni emphasized the bank’s unwavering confidence and clarity in pursuing its goals to ensure commitment to making a positive impact towards a sustainable approach to banking, keeping pace with global economic transformations by achieving a competitive knowledge-based economy built on innovation. This includes contributing to the support of national efforts to enhance environmental, social, and corporate governance practices along with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SIB maintains a constant vigilance in making an inspiring impact to achieve the UAE’s goals.
