Abu Dhabi: Seamus Power will participate in Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship along with former winner Tyrrell Hatton, three-time DP World Tour winner Ryan Fox, 2018 Open Champion Francesco Molinari and rising star Sepp Straka at Yas Links. The championship will be held from January 19 to 22, 2023.
The two-time PGA TOUR winner will reach Yas Links after the game alongside Hatton for Team Great Britain and Ireland at the Hero Cup.
Straka will make his tournament debut alongside 2018 Open Champion Molinari. Molinari is the Continental Europe Captain for the new match play contest and is participating in the event for the first time since 2013.
Mr. Abdulfattah Sharaf, HSBC UAE CEO and Head of International Markets, shared that “last year was a milestone for the tournament entering a new era, and HSBC has been supporting new visions and opportunities across the UAE since we first opened our doors for business here more than 75 years ago.”
Abu Dhabi Sports Council has informed that free general admission tickets will be available for all tournament days, offering fans in the UAE the opportunity to enjoy the world-class field in person for free.
The successful move to Yas Island in 2022 helped in creating a new chapter for the tournament which highlights Abu Dhabi as an international sports hub.
The 2023 tournament will be the second of four events forming the Middle East swing, as Abu Dhabi plans to welcome two weeks of world-class golf across multiple venues.
