Dubai: The Emirates Group is presenting the inaugural ForsaTEK conference, an annual event and platform to foster new opportunities, bring together two start-up initiatives, Intelak and Aviation X Lab, and work with prominent tech and business partners, start-ups, and ecosystem players.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, officially opened the event. The Chairman stated that, “Innovation is an integral strand of the Emirates Group’s DNA since day one. With the advancements in technology, we have always aimed to deliver better value and solutions to our customers through its adaptation and implementation across our business. ForsaTEK is another platform to showcase technological initiatives and its applications in our industry. Together with our like-minded partners and some of the brightest minds spanning industries, we’ve built a robust incubator ecosystem that is delivering cutting-edge initiatives in travel.”

ForsaTEK is a two-day event organized in conjunction with business partners and held at Emirates Group Headquarters. The event’s subject is aviation, travel, and tourism. The event is intended to serve as a platform for showcasing the future of travel through innovation and entrepreneurship, developing teamwork, supporting incubator communities, and igniting provocative ideas.
Accenture, Airbus, Amadeus, Collins Aerospace, Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, GE Aerospace, Microsoft, and Thales were among the companies that The Emirates Group partnered with at this unique event. They captivated audiences with a number of noteworthy displays and demos, such as the Emirates Group’s first robotic check-in experience, Microsoft’s AI, GE Aerospace’s digital solutions aimed at efficiency and safety, and Thales’ eSIM. Maha Gaber, the creator of Digital and Savvy, engaged the audience on “building your own brand” after Dubai Future Foundation outlined their organisation and goals for the city.

In front of a large audience of VIPs, investors, and the broader IT sector, more than 20 start-ups affiliated with Intelak or Aviation X Lab showcased their inventions and made pitches for the next big thing in travel in a souk-style exhibition hall.
Chief Operating Officer of Emirates, Mr. Adel Al Redha, elaborated on technological advancements in aviation during a thoughtful fireside discussion. Following International Women’s Day, engaging panel discussions covered timely topics including AI ChatGPT and Women in Travel and Technology. University students will attend the event on March 10 to test out cutting-edge technology, motivate the next generation, and talk about topics like youth empowerment.
