Dubai: Dubai has secured the second position in the Expat City Ranking 2022, according to InterNations. The top 3 destinations, Valencia, Dubai, and Mexico City, performed very well when it came to ease of settling in.
Most expatriates indicated that it is easy to deal with local authorities and that they are happy with the government services made available online by the city. Additionally, 70 percent stated that they are satisfied with their jobs and believe the local business culture encourages creativity.

Dubai comes first worldwide in the Expat Essentials Index and its Admin Topics Subcategory. Expats report that the local authorities are easy to deal with (66 percent versus 40 percent globally), and 88 percent are satisfied with the availability of government services online (versus 61 percent globally). However, 18 percent are unhappy with the access they have to online services (versus 7 percent globally).
In the Ease of Settling In Index, Dubai comes in at the 8th position, where expats are happy with their social lives (68 percent are happy versus 56 percent globally) and feel welcome in Dubai (81 percent versus 66 percent globally), and the Quality of Life Index (6th) are two more highlights. Nearly all expats (95 percent) are satisfied with the infrastructure for cars (versus 75 percent globally), and they rank both the culture and nightlife (5th) as well as the culinary variety and dining options (3rd) highly.

Dubai comes sixth in the Working Abroad Index. Expats are happy with their jobs (70 percent are happy versus 64 percent globally) and report that the local business culture encourages creativity (78 percent versus 51 percent globally).
The Expat Insider survey listed the best countries and cities for expatriates to live and work in 2022. The study has been carried out annually since 2017 by the company InterNations. In the 2022 survey, indices related to the quality of life and satisfaction of approximately 12,000 expatriates from 177 nationalities were evaluated.
