Abu Dhabi: The AJP Tour Abu Dhabi International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship came to an end, capping an outstanding weekend of outstanding performances across multiple weight and belt divisions at Mubadala Arena.
Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, which has a formidable team, came out on top, forcing Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club and Al-Ain to settle for second and third, respectively. The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) and Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro (AJP) organised the competition, which featured intense matches between competitors in the amateur and professional divisions on the final day.
Mr. Abdel Moneim Al Hashemi, Senior Vice President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, President of the Asian Ju-Jitsu Union, and Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, participated in the competition. Following the competition, an awards ceremony for the winners was held in the presence of Mr. Mubarak Al Menhali, Director of the Technical Department of the UAEJJF, Mr. Mohammed Salem Al-Dhaheri, Deputy Chairman of the UAEJJF, and Mr. Mansour Mohammed Al-Dhaheri, a member of the UAEJJF Board of Directors.
The AJP championships, according to Mr. Mansour Al Dhaheri are held to the highest organisational and technical standards in the world.

“As anticipated, the AJP Tour Abu Dhabi International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship was a great success, especially in terms of attendance since it was able to attract a good number of seasoned stars. The event was also successful in giving hundreds of male and female players from about 50 nations a highly competitive environment, demonstrating that the UAE is the home of champions and their first choice of destination for achieving glory,” Mr. Al Dhaheri added.
