Abu Dhabi: One of the most prestigious research universities in the UAE, the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) is all set to begin the 3rd Edition of its Executive Program (MEP).
The Program’s latest edition will feature 45 more world leaders, with more than one third of the delegations being prominent female leaders.
The 3rd edition of the program which is expected to begin on November 6 is expected to feature fundamental topics like,
- An introduction to artificial intelligence (AI)
- AI, machine learning and the economy
- Visual cognition and intelligence
- Lingual cognition and intelligence
- Robotics
- AI ethics
The Program will see participants submitting group capstone projects at the end which tackle real world issues and offering AI enabled solutions.
World’s top AI experts like MBZUAI President Professor Mr. Eric Xing and Laureate Professor MR. Michael Jordan will teach the participants. Prof. Raj Reddy, Prof. Yoav Shoham, Prof. Alexei Efros, Prof. Bernhard Schölkopf, Prof. Pieter Abbell, Prof. Ken Goldberg, and Prof. Tom Mitchell will also join the program as instructors.
This edition of the program will see sponsorship of one place each for a participant from a startup and a non-governmental organization (NGO).
Participation of startups and NGO are aimed to gain access to an unmatched AI learning experience for individuals who additionally offer distinctive experiences and viewpoints.
Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MBZUAI, remarked.
The UAE Minister elaborated that, ”This edition is a demonstration of the university’s continuous commitment to equipping leaders, across both public and private sectors, with the solid knowledge and advanced skills they need to acquire relevant competencies to implement AI solutions in their institutions.. Through the MEP, the university is providing participants with a practical and personalized experience that will benefit their organization and the wider innovation ecosystem, and contribute to supporting efficiency and sustainable economic growth by developing 4IR solutions.”
FIELD VISITS
The locations visited by the first two cohorts of the program included the Emirates Post Group, DIFC FinTech Hive, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), Injazat/G42, the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC), and the Zoo & Aquarium Public Institution in Al Ain.
PARTICIPANTS
Participants of the first two batches of the program included Undersecretaries, Secretaries General, Ambassadors, CEOs, Directors General, Executive Vice Presidents, and others.
Over 80 participants have finished the demanding coursework, site visits, capstone projects, and interaction, laying the groundwork for a powerful, knowledgeable, and active AI community.
