Ajman: Ajman Department of Tourism Development and Thumbay Group have recently inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate and share knowledge in order to enhance medical tourism in Ajman. The partnership aims to bolster Ajman’s reputation as a premier destination for wellness and therapy.
Mr. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director-General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, and Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder and President of the Thumbay Group, signed the MoU. Under the agreement, Ajman Tourism and Thumbay Group will work together to organize medical events and conferences, conduct promotional campaigns to showcase the emirate’s medical facilities and healthcare centers, actively participate in health-related exhibitions and workshops, and establish a framework for exchanging expertise and publishing medical information.
The primary objective of the MoU is to establish a framework of collaboration between Ajman Tourism and Thumbay Hospitals, with the aim of solidifying Ajman’s reputation as a leading destination for wellness and therapy in the region.
Ajman’s medical tourism sector has garnered a strong reputation and is experiencing increased interest from a broader audience. As a result, Ajman Tourism is committed to providing full support to this sector, recognizing its potential to contribute to the overall growth of the tourism industry. The opening of the ZOYA Health and Wellbeing Resort, the first five-star health resort in the Middle East and Africa, further reinforces the emirate’s objective of offering visitors a diverse array of specialized treatment programs and healthcare services.
