Abu Dhabi: The Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) and Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in Russia have signed a new agreement aimed at advancing scientific research for people with disabilities.
The ZHO-MSU partnership will focus on collaboration in the areas of psychotherapy as well as neuropsychology, sharing research findings, and exchanging academic materials. One of the key objectives of the partnership is to develop a UAE-Russian psychology dictionary.
The partnership further plans to create shared research projects, offer educational cooperation in master’s programmes and extra training for specialists, and collaborate on other educational and academic exchanges. The agreement was signed during a high-level delegation to Russia by ZHO, led by the organisation’s Secretary-General, His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al Humaidan, from April 23–27, 2023.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al Humaidan and MSU’s Professor Yuri Alexandrovich Mazzi. The ceremony took place at the MSU’s headquarters in the presence of Mr. Hamad Rashid bin Alwan Al Habsi, Deputy Head of the UAE’s Mission in Moscow, leaders from both sides, and scientific cadres from the university.
Mr. Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al Humaidan highlighted the strong strategic and historical relations between the UAE and Russia through mutual visits.
In October 2022, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, visited Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin, which played a great role in opening new horizons for bilateral cooperation between the two countries and enhancing further growth and prosperity in various fields.
