Abu Dhabi: The Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence announced the implementation of the 13th humanitarian airdrop and relief aid carried by the UAE Air Force and the Egyptian Air Force in the northern Gaza Strip, as part of the “Birds of Goodness” operation.
The airdrops were carried out over inaccessible isolated areas in the northern Gaza Strip by two planes carrying 24 tonnes of food and relief aid. This brings the total amount of aid airdrops since the launch of the “Birds of Goodness” operation to 510 tonnes of food and relief aid.
This mission underscores the UAE’s intensified humanitarian efforts during the holy month of Ramadan, showcasing collaboration among its charitable organizations such as the Emirates Red Crescent, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation.
Additionally, the UAE has sent its third aid shipment to Gaza, a cargo ship departing from Fujairah to Al Arish, Egypt, carrying 4,630 tons of humanitarian supplies, including food, shelter materials, medical supplies, and essential resources like water and septic tanks. This shipment is part of the ongoing “Gallant Knight 3” operation, further demonstrating the UAE’s commitment to addressing the urgent needs of the Gaza Strip’s residents.
