Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, and his Egyptian counterpart, Mr. Omar Marwan, have launched a platform that enables Egyptian nationals living in the UAE to obtain legal services remotely.
The platform was created in collaboration with the Multi Level Group (MLG) in the UAE and is the first of its kind outside of Egypt. Users can request a range of judicial services from it, such as notarial work, translations, and certificate issuance.
The Egyptian Minister said that the platform represents a “modern window for providing judicial services remotely in a reliable manner.” Mr. Marwan noted that the project is a result of the strategic partnership and cooperation between Egypt and the UAE.
Mr. Al Nuaimi said that the platform is “a testament to the strong ties between our two countries.” The Minister of Justice added that the UAE is committed to providing its residents with the highest quality of services, including judicial services.
The Egyptian Ministry of Justice demonstrated at the press conference how easy it was to obtain a certified certificate from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and the Egyptian Embassy in Abu Dhabi in just eight minutes using their state-of-the-art platform. According to the Egyptian minister, the platform’s trial period will be assessed to find and fix any issues.
“The ministry is also considering increasing the number of such platforms and making them available in other cities in the UAE. In the next phase, the ministry plans to launch the platform in countries with large Egyptian communities or that have investments in Egypt,” Mr. Marwan remarked.
