Dubai: Gulfood 2024, the world’s largest annual food and beverage event, has concluded its triumphant five-day run at the Dubai World Trade Center.
Over the course of the show’s five days, an impressive lineup of 25 Michelin-starred chefs from across the world showcased traditional culinary techniques, elevated real ingredients, and shared the backstories of some of the most well-known dishes in the world in over 90 Masterclasses.
In the meanwhile, seasoned and emerging chefs are sharing their knowledge of the recipes that will be the talk of the town this year at Chef Talks, along with helpful cooking advice.
Renowned chefs Alain Passard of L’Arpege, Enrico Cerea of da Vittorio, Joan Roca of El Celler de Can Roca, and Mark Donald of The Glenturret were among the participants in the program. Chef Vladimir Mukhin of White Rabbit Krasota in Dubai is one example of homegrown skill. The topic for this year is the fusion of cutting-edge, contemporary technology with rich historical traditions and culinary practices.
Aiming to shape Dubai’s cultural identity and help put the city on the map of world cuisine, Dubai World Cuisine is a series of city-wide dinner collaborations between local chefs and culinary icons from throughout Europe. To date, six Dubai culinary landmarks have hosted successful dinners: Krasota, Lowe, Takahisa, Armani Ristorante, Folly, and F.R.N.D.S. Grand Cafe.
Leading global food futurologist Dr. Morgaine Gaye, on the other hand, gave attendees at the Gulfood Inspire Conference an intriguing look at the F&B trends that will emerge in the future. These trends include an increased emphasize on sustainability and eco-friendly products, a decrease in waste and packaging, an increase in locally sourced products, a return to lost, heritage local and regional flavors, more hand-crafted products, attention to aesthetics, and many more.
