Dubai: Brand Dubai, the creative division of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) in association with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) informed that the third edition of the Dubai Metro Music Festival is ready to return from March 6th to 12th 2023.
The Festival is one of the major activities featured in the most recent #DubaiDestinations campaign, which encourages locals and guests to take advantage of the diverse artistic and cultural opportunities offered by the emirate throughout the #DubaiArtSeason. In keeping with the UAE’s announcement of 2023 as the “Year of Sustainability,” this year’s event is focused on the theme of sustainability. Artists will participate in the festival and perform on recycled-material instruments to display their talent.
The week-long celebration of global music, which reflects Dubai’s cosmopolitan spirit and creative vibrance will have five metro stations converted into stages including Union, Mall of Emirates, Burjuman, Dubai Financial Centre, and Sobha Realty. Some of the world’s most innovative musicians will lead the live musical performances at the event,
20 local, regional, and worldwide musicians representing distinctive sparks of creative talent in a wide range of instruments, genres, and styles will entertain commuters with enthralling musical performances.

By adding enchanting musical and cultural notes to the experience of commuters on the Dubai Metro, the Festival supports our shared mission to enhance the happiness of the community.”
A variety of traditional and experimental musicians, classical instrumentalists, and fusion musicians will perform for Dubai’s cosmopolitan community at the Festival. String, percussion, wind, acoustic, and other interesting instruments, including those created of recycled materials, will be used by participating performers to display their skills.
This year’s Festival brings together artists from Egypt, India, France, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Cuba, the United Kingdom, Lebanon, Canada, Netherlands, Jordan, and Australia, as per the report. The public can enjoy live performances every day from 4 PM to 10 PM. Over the course of the event, all of the performances will rotate to cover each of the five metro stations.
