Every year on August 28th, Emirati Women’s Day is celebrated. It was initiated by Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, also known as the Mother of the Nation. Sheikha Fatima serves as the Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).
This day is dedicated to recognizing the dedication, strength, and accomplishments of Emirati women, who have played a significant role in shaping the nation. This year’s theme is ‘We Collaborate for Tomorrow.’
