Abu Dhabi: 3 UAE Universities have been ranked among the World’s top 1,000 Higher Education Institutions.
According to the Research site’s initial report the top three Higher Education Institutions in the nation and those that made it to the top 1,000 list are Khalifa University of Science and Technology (659), University of Sharjah (739) and New York University of Abu Dhabi (844).
The inaugural edition of Research.com‘s ranking of the best Universities in the world is based on information obtained from Microsoft Academic Graph. 166,880 researchers were thoroughly examined as part of the ranking procedure using both Microsoft Academic Graph and Google Scholar.
The best Universities in each country were also identified in the research. In the UAE, the top Universities are the UAE University, Gulf Medical University, Zayed University, Ajman University of Science and Technology, American University of Sharjah, British University in Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Science, High Colleges of Technology, Emirates College for Advanced Education, the Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence and American University of Ras Al Khaimah.
In terms of global rankings, American colleges led the field with 234 listed Universities or 23.4 percent of all top Universities. Europe is home to the most prestigious Institutions, accounting for 39.4 percent of the world’s top Universities. Leading scientists are clustered at Harvard University, where there are 2,113 of them. Stanford University (1,148), the University of California (907), Johns Hopkins University (805) and the University of Oxford are next in line (848).
