Dubai: One of the world’s premier international trade events, Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair), kicked off its promotional conference for its 135th edition in Dubai with trade representatives and dignitaries from about 80 organizations, including Emirates Airlines, as well as representatives of buyers and businessmen, to strengthen trade and economic ties between China and the UAE.
The next Canton Fair edition, which is slated to take place on April 15, 2024, will witness an expansion of the display area to 1.55 million square meters, according to Zhang Sihong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Canton Fair.
With over 28,000 exhibitors anticipated to participate, the expansion aims to offer a more comprehensive and richer experience for both visitors and exhibitors. International buyers will have an amazing chance to improve sourcing and commercial partnerships.
Marwan Al Marri, Regional Director of Dubai Chamber in Asia, expressed his delight at welcoming Chinese companies and underlined the role of Dubai Chamber as a key driver of economic growth in the city and its commitment to achieving the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) to boost foreign trade.
Established in the spring of 1957, the Canton Fair takes place twice a year in Guangzhou, China, and is regarded as one of the most significant global trade shows because of its extensive history, vast range of exhibits, and global involvement of buyers and dealers. The exhibition is a significant meeting place for the world’s commerce and industrial sectors, providing an excellent venue for exhibiting the newest goods and technologies and promoting international trade connections.
