Yemen: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has started a project to distribute sacrificial meat in Hadramaut Governorate, Yemen.
279 sacrificial meats (livestock sacrifices) were given out on the first day of Eid Al Adha, helping 1,116 people in the governorate’s Mukalla and Ghayl Ba Wazir districts. These families included People of Determination, patients, and the most vulnerable groups.
The project is to provide 904 sacrificial meat to 6,328 people in various Hadramaut Governorate areas on the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah Tashriq days.

The project is a component of the humanitarian and relief efforts undertaken by the UAE, as represented by the ERC, which aims to better the lives of the governorate’s most vulnerable populations and provide them with joy and enjoyment throughout the days leading up to Eid Al Adha.
The UAE’s desire to support Yemeni brothers and sisters and help impoverished families in Hadramaut is reflected in this project’s launch, which was announced with joy by Humaid Rashid Al Shamsi, advisor for development and international cooperation and ERC representative in Hadramaut.
He said that the distribution of sacrificed meat is a component of the continuous initiatives to deepen humanitarian ties and lessen the suffering of the impoverished.

He clarified that this project is one of many humanitarian initiatives carried out by the UAE’s philanthropic organization in a number of sectors with the goal of fostering social cohesion and building solidarity among all societal members.
In addition, he expressed gratitude to everyone who helped make this humanitarian endeavor a success.
Recipients appreciated the ERC team’s humanitarian work in addressing the challenging issues faced by Yemeni residents in the Governorate of Hadramaut, as well as the team’s efforts.
