Abu Dhabi: The first Emirati Blood Donation Forum has launched in Abu Dhabi, supported by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the healthcare sector regulator in the Emirate.
The Emirates Blood Donation Association organized the forum, which was well-attended by prominent members of the community, including blood banks, healthcare officials, and strategic partners.
The forum included a number of panel discussions that explored the significance of blood donation as a noteworthy humanitarian gesture that promotes public health, community cohesion, and the ongoing needs of patients. Furthermore, health professionals and subject-matter specialists gave awareness lectures that emphasized the advantages of donation for health and its potential to save lives.
Together with key partners from UAE blood banks and healthcare agencies, the Ministry of Community Development and the Ministry of Health and Prevention Society (MoHAP) attended and provided assistance for the forum.
The association’s efforts in putting together this important event were commended by officials, who also pledged to support future projects that improve community health by bringing attention to the significance of blood donation.
In his address, Dr. Ali Al Ansari, the Chairman of the Emirates Blood Donation Association Board, acknowledged his honor to have organized this significant forum and emphasized the significance of strategic partners and cooperation amongst all healthcare authorities in bolstering blood donation campaigns.
Al Ansari, said that, “We are thankful to everyone who contributed to the success of this event, and we always strive to promote a culture of blood donation in our community as a message of hope and life to those in need.”
At the forum’s end, notable blood donors and medical organizations received recognition for their noteworthy contributions to blood donation campaigns all year long. The association praised the active role that blood banks play in aiding medical and humanitarian endeavors in the nation and conveyed its gratitude and appreciation to all blood bank donors and supporters within the healthcare industry.
