Dubai: The ‘Eid Al Adha Pardon’ underscores a commitment to improvement, compassion, family unity, and social reintegration, offering many families a significant and hopeful new beginning this festive season.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, Vice President, and Prime Minister, has pardoned 686 prisoners of various nationalities from Dubai’s correctional facilities. Attorney General Chancellor Essam Issa Al-Humaidan stated that this decision aims to bring happiness to families and help the released individuals reintegrate into society. Dubai Public Prosecution and Dubai Police are working together to execute this order.
In Sharjah, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler, has ordered the release of 352 prisoners. Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, praised the Ruler’s initiative for its impact on family cohesion and community joy.
His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has granted clemency to 94 prisoners. Major-General Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of the Fujairah Police, expressed gratitude for this move, highlighting its potential to help the released individuals start afresh and contribute positively to society.
