The Emirates Medical Association’s Chairman of the Oncology Society, Professor Humaid Al Shamsi, co-hosted a session at the Raffles Hotel in Dubai where DHA went over the updated guidelines for oncology services. The finest international practices in the area and UAE legislation have been followed in the development of this publication.
One of the biggest issues facing health authorities around the world is still access to oncology care, according to Dr. Marwan Al Mulla, CEO of DHA’s Health Regulation Sector. DHA has therefore taken the lead in creating new standards in an effort to create a functional system and offer cutting-edge services in this area.

In a patient-centered system, regulations will also improve healthcare’s accessibility, sustainability, and efficiency.
These guidelines will encourage healthcare providers to provide high-quality, specialized cancer services in accordance with best international practices by establishing a competitive environment. This will strengthen Dubai’s status as a top regional and international destination for healthcare.
