Fujairah: The Al Bader Award was honored as the Guest of Honour at the ninth Fez International Festival of Arabic Calligraphy Art and Ornamentation, held in Morocco from June 28 to 30, 2024. The event’s theme was ‘Ambassador’.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Al Bader Award is a prestigious biennial event. It is part of the Al Bader initiative, which celebrates the love of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), highlights his life, and promotes the tolerant values of Islam. The initiative includes various activities, events, and live workshops to bring together creative individuals from artistic and literary fields worldwide.
The Fez International Festival honored the Office of H.H. Crown Prince of Fujairah, represented by its Director, Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi. This recognition reflects the appreciation for the Office’s efforts to elevate the Award’s status regionally and globally, highlighting its support for cultural and artistic events and its sponsorship of artists.
The Festival is a significant event for enthusiasts of Islamic arts, particularly Arabic calligraphy, ornamentation, and fine arts. It attracts extensive international participation from artists and calligraphers who showcase their creative works and expertise.
