Switzerland: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljaric Egger.
The meeting covered efforts to help the humanitarian needs of affected citizens in the Gaza Strip, Syria, Ukraine, Sudan, and Afghanistan as well as collaborative efforts between the UAE and the International Committee of the Red Cross in the humanitarian and relief domains.
The two parties discussed the UAE’s steps to provide humanitarian relief to impacted areas and individuals worldwide. They talked on how to improve global cooperation to strengthen the civilian humanitarian response system in the Gaza Strip.

They also discussed regional and global initiatives to establish a long-term truce that will safeguard civilian lives and enable the Palestinian people to receive essential humanitarian aid.
The top diplomat for the UAE emphasized the significance of the humanitarian and relief role that the International Committee of the Red Cross plays, complimenting the Committee on its exceptional work and its eagerness to carry out the noble humanitarian tasks that have been entrusted to it in the best way possible.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasized how eager the UAE is to work with the International Committee of the Red Cross to provide aid and humanitarian support to people in need all over the world, as demonstrated by its humanitarian arms and institutions.

He emphasized that to provide safe, uninterrupted relief to civilians in the Gaza Strip and ultimately lessen their suffering, the international community must work together to establish a global humanitarian response system in response to the dire humanitarian conditions there.
The UAE’s Permanent Representative to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Jamal Al Musharakh, and Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri both attended the conference.
