Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and Burjeel Holdings have agreed to collaborate on advancing research in health sciences, improving the academic experience for students with practical expertise, and promoting clinical studies in the UAE.
Additionally, this cooperation will give ADU faculties and students more access to national and international grant possibilities.
In front of several officials, Safeer Ahamed, Group COO of Burjeel Holdings, and Dr. Hamad Odhabi, Vice Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Affairs at ADU, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
By working together on research projects and opening up creative laboratories, ADU and Burjeel Holdings hope to enhance academic quality and promote innovation while strengthening ADU’s reputation as a center for cutting-edge discoveries.
Dr. Odhabi remarked that, “Abu Dhabi University continues to invest in its research capabilities to contribute to the UAE’s vision of building a knowledge-based economy. Leveraging Burjeel Holdings’ leading expertise in healthcare and the university’s world-class academic excellence, we aim to elevate the standards of research in the field of health sciences.”
According to Ahamed, this collaboration will provide health sciences students with previously unheard-of training opportunities, giving them the know-how and abilities to promote innovation and quality in the industry as a new generation of healthcare professionals.
Through the provision of extended programs that concentrate on higher education and skill development activities, the collaboration also hopes to foster community knowledge. In addition, ADU and Burjeel Holdings will host academic training programs, conferences, workshops, and seminars that explore the most recent advancements and industry best practices in the health sciences.
Additionally, the MoU will make use of ADU’s top-notch academic resources to host training sessions and lectures aimed at improving Burjeel Holdings’ administrative and human resource procedures. To give ADU students the comprehensive practical skills required for future employment in healthcare, the healthcare provider will also provide internship opportunities throughout its facilities in the UAE.
