Abu Dhabi: The Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Department and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote information exchange and increase museum attendance, hence increasing tourism and propelling economic growth in both emirates.
The Under-Secretary of DCT Abu Dhabi, Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, and the General Director of the Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Department, Saeed Al Samahi, signed the partnership. Through joint marketing and promotional efforts, the entities will be able to engage both domestic and foreign tourists, exchange knowledge and expertise, and develop training programs.

By exchanging artifacts and artwork, this collaboration highlights a shared commitment to promoting the cultural legacy of Abu Dhabi and Fujairah. This will draw more tourists and enhance public understanding of their unique histories.
Al Hosani stated that cooperative programs and promotions between the two museums are made possible by this Memorandum of Understanding. He went on to say that showcasing the rich creative and cultural legacy of both emirates will encourage pride in national identity and advance intercultural understanding.
For his part, Al Samahi stated that this MoU strengthens cooperation and sheds light on Fujairah’s historical and cultural richness,

“Furthermore, this collaboration will open new prospects for all emirates in the UAE to exchange tourism experiences and explore pioneering practices, as we work to make Fujairah an attractive destination for both domestic and international tourism,” he noted.
Abu Dhabi has developed into a worldwide center of creativity and culture in recent years. The famed Louvre Abu Dhabi and a burgeoning community of establishments and attractions, including the soon-to-open Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, and Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, can be found in the city’s Saadiyat Cultural District.
Abu Dhabi’s long-term economic diversification plan is heavily reliant on the tourism industry. The emirate has unveiled its Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to draw 39.3 million tourists to Abu Dhabi yearly and contribute AED90 billion ($24 billion) to the country’s GDP by 2030.
