Abu Dhabi: This year, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) expanded its sacrificial meat campaign to include 53 countries worldwide, benefiting over 500,000 individuals. In the UAE alone, more than 100,000 people received support from this initiative.
The campaign, which also extended to Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America, aimed to address food shortages and rising prices. The ERC intensified efforts to increase the project’s budget to ensure more vulnerable families and needy individuals received their share of sacrificial meat.
Starting on the first day of Eid al-Adha, sacrificial animals were slaughtered and distributed through ERC’s foreign offices and UAE embassies, in collaboration with various charitable societies and humanitarian organizations.
Additionally, the ERC’s Eid clothing programme reached 27,700 beneficiaries outside the UAE, further supporting those in need during the festive season.
The Emirates Red Crescent’s annual sacrificial meat campaign is part of its ongoing strategy to promote cooperation and generosity with friendly and fraternal nations, making a significant impact on communities worldwide.
