Abu Dhabi: The Family Care Authority (FCA) has introduced a new initiative called One Family. This initiative brings together all of FCA’s community outreach efforts, including events, activations, workshops, and training programs, into one unified program.
The project intends to raise awareness of the authority and its services while making it simple for people to access and comprehend FCA’s extensive array of services. The program further demonstrates the FCA’s dedication to enhancing family ties and protecting the community’s collective family unit by enhancing the well-being and standard of living of Abu Dhabi families.
Dr. Bushra Al-Mulla, Director-General of the FCA, remarked that, “The One Family initiative, as per the FCA’s strategic vision and in alignment with the Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy, aims to promote a sense of belonging among community members. With a focus on empowering individuals, raising community awareness, promoting health, and preserving nature, this initiative seeks to make our community outreach efforts more accessible to the wider public.”
“By supporting our partners and stakeholders in their outreach endeavors, we strive to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange. The One Family initiative is reflective of our commitment to coordinating various social sector entities and supporting them in their community outreach efforts,” Dr. Al-Mulla added.
One Family will begin its work in the Al Falah district, working with partners the DMT and the Municipal Community Center (MCC) to introduce a variety of activities to empower children, support parents and caregivers, and improve teacher proficiency in monitoring, reporting, and managing cases of substance use and addiction.
The FCA’s commitment to fostering resilient families throughout the emirate and its goal of a sustainable positive influence on communities are reflected in the initiative’s planned phased strategic approach to expansion into adjacent neighborhoods.
