Abu Dhabi: Khalifa University of Science and Technology (KU) and the Institute of Innovation and Professional Development (IIPD) Global have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a collaboration framework that promotes enhanced learning, professional development, and research initiatives.
The agreement was signed by Professor Bayan Sharif, Provost of Khalifa University, and Farooq Mohammed, Business Director of IIPD, in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
Under the MoU, both partners will explore opportunities to share academic and training resources, including faculty and materials, to support learning and development programs.
The collaboration also encompasses the introduction of joint Khalifa University-certified industry-relevant courses, coordinated training initiatives, and access to shared infrastructure and expertise. Additionally, the partnership will enable IIPD to participate in events organized by Khalifa University and conduct awareness sessions on emerging technologies, industry trends, and professional skills tailored for students and faculty members.

Professor Sharif emphasized that the partnership will help build human capital in strategic sectors aligned with the UAE’s knowledge economy transformation. Sharif remarked that, “Khalifa University’s strong academic and research foundation enables us to equip learners of all ages with vital skills for individual and professional growth. Combining our resources with IIPD will create a synergy that enhances specialised skill development and produces highly trained, well-informed professionals.”
Farooq Mohammed highlighted the global relevance of the collaboration, stating that, “This partnership with Khalifa University represents a key milestone for IIPD, uniting world-class academic excellence with our training expertise to prepare professionals and students for the technologies and challenges shaping the future.”
