Dubai: Emirates is set to introduce its upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft to eight additional destinations, improving its global route network with premium inflight experiences. As part of the airline’s extensive retrofit program, a refurbished aircraft is being rolled out into service every three weeks, with plans to serve 44 cities with enhanced Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft by September 2025.
From 1 June 2025, all flights to and from Lisbon, including EK 191/192 and EK 193/194, will feature upgraded Boeing 777 interiors. Dublin will see the debut of Emirates’ latest Business and Premium Economy cabins on EK 161/162 from 25 June.
Hong Kong will become the airline’s second retrofitted Boeing 777 destination in China, operating on EK 382/383 from 15 July. Passengers travelling to the Maldives will experience enhanced interiors on EK 658/659 from 1 June, with EK 656/657 and EK 660/661 joining from 15 July.
Kolkata will receive the upgraded Boeing 777 on four weekly flights, EK 572/573, from 10 August. Colombo will also see the refreshed Boeing 777 on its daily EK 650/651 services from 10 August, complementing Emirates’ newly introduced A350 operations on the route.

Emirates is reaffirming its dedication to South Africa by introducing Premium Economy and refreshed Business Class cabins for the first time to Johannesburg and Cape Town. Johannesburg will receive the Boeing 777 on EK 765/766 from 1 September and EK 761/762 from 25 September, while Cape Town will be served on EK 770/771 from 20 September. London Stansted will benefit from a second daily service with refreshed Boeing 777 interiors on EK 067/068 from 1 June.
With a $5 billion investment, Emirates is executing the aviation industry’s largest aircraft retrofit program, covering more than 220 Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft. The upgraded Boeing 777 features a four-class configuration, including Emirates’ signature Premium Economy and enhanced Business Class cabins.
Business Class seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, ensuring privacy, direct aisle access, and optimal comfort. Additionally, the Boeing 777 is outfitted with 24 Premium Economy seats and 260 Economy Class seats, offering passengers an elevated travel experience across all classes.
