Dubai: The ‘Bayti’ (My House) initiative committee has approved the construction of 150 housing units annually to provide support for low-income Emirati families, reinforcing efforts to strengthen family stability and enhance social well-being across Dubai.
The initiative aims to help citizens build or complete their homes according to their personal needs and aspirations, ensuring they enjoy a decent standard of living.
The committee convened its meeting at the headquarters of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE), chaired by Mohammed Al Shehhi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of MBRHE.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Dubai Police, the Community Development Authority, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, and the Dubai Community Contributions Foundation (Jood).

During the session, Al Shehhi emphasized that the initiative reflects the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership to empower citizens with opportunities for home ownership and family stability. The Acting CEO added that Bayti initiative represents a strong model of collaboration between government and private sector entities, working together to create sustainable housing solutions.
The committee reviewed progress on the first phase of the Bayti initiative, which comprises 223 housing units spanning a total area of 813,000 square feet. It announced the completion and support of 72 homes, while 151 units are currently under construction.
In addition, the committee approved several developmental resolutions designed to expand the initiative’s reach and efficiency. These include the introduction of new housing models that incorporate modern and advanced construction methods, improving project delivery speed and cost efficiency.
The committee also reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability standards across all construction stages, in alignment with the leadership’s goals for sustainable development in Dubai. Furthermore, it approved broader eligibility criteria to ensure that housing support reaches a greater number of citizens in need.
