Dubai: The sports events organized under the ‘Athletic Caravan’ initiative, affiliated with the Dubai Police Sports Council, have attracted an impressive turnout of 3,465 participants from Dubai Police and the wider community during its first week.
The activities were held in conjunction with the ninth edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) 2025. Dr. Mariam Anas Al Matrooshi, Chairperson of the Dubai Police Sports Council, said that participants represented various sectors of the police force, in addition to employees from the Ministry of Defense and the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
Al Matrooshi stated that, “Several sports federations also joined the initiative, including the Modern Pentathlon, the UAE Sports For All Federation, the Archery Federation, the Fencing Federation, the Chess Federation, and the Badminton Federation.”

The events offered a wide variety of sporting activities such as target shooting, volleyball, basketball, tennis, padel, and tug-of-war. Participants also had the opportunity to win valuable prizes through raffles.
In addition to the competitive activities, the initiative hosted educational and awareness workshops, a performance by the Dubai Police Musical Band, and a K9 show demonstrating the exceptional skills of police dogs.
The ‘Athletic Caravan’ Fitness Hub is accredited by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and will continue its participation in the Dubai Fitness Challenge through an extensive lineup of sporting events, in collaboration with more than 30 sports federations and academies.
