Al Ain: The inaugural Al Ain Camel Racing Festival has commenced at Al Rawda Camel Racetrack. Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, the festival marks a significant addition to the UAE’s heritage sporting calendar.
Organized by the Presidential Camels and Camel Racing Affairs Center and supervised by the Camel Racing Association, the event is expected to reinforce the nation’s long standing traditions and cultural values through one of its most cherished sports.

Camel owners participating in the event extended their heartfelt gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed for his unwavering support for the sport of camel racing and his directive to host the festival in Al Ain. They also expressed deep appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed for his ongoing encouragement and leadership in promoting traditional Emirati heritage.
The festival will span three preliminary rounds and feature a total of 605 races, including dedicated trophy competitions across various age categories. The grand final is scheduled for early October 2025, with substantial prizes awarded throughout the festival, reflecting the scale and significance of the event within the UAE’s cultural and sporting landscape.
