Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025 will take place from 12 to 18 January in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
With the theme “The Nexus of Next. Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” ADSW 2025 will bring together global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to accelerate sustainable development and drive socioeconomic progress. As the first major event on the global sustainability calendar, ADSW 2025 aims to examine pathways for fast-tracking the transformation to a sustainable economy and unlocking a potential $10 trillion economic transformation opportunity through the intersection of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and green energy.
His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar, highlighted the event’s role as a critical forum for driving collaboration and innovation. Sultan Al Jaber emphasized that ADSW 2025 will handle three megatrends shaping the world: the rise of the Global South and emerging markets, the transformation of energy systems, and the exponential growth of artificial intelligence.
The event will provide a launchpad for action, fostering partnerships that build a more successful and sustainable future. Confirmed partners for ADSW 2025 include major players such as the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, ADNOC, Mubadala, DEWA, Huawei, GE Vernova, HSBC, and TotalEnergies.
The event will feature a sequence of high-profile forums, partner-led events, and networking opportunities designed to secure energy, data, finance, trade, and natural ecosystems to drive exponential growth and systemic change. The World Future Energy Summit, part of ADSW, will showcase cutting-edge innovations through its Innovation Hub, offering a platform for over 55 entrepreneurs and startups to raise their breakthrough technologies.
ADSW 2025 will also underline the role of youth and women in sustainability. The Youth 4 Sustainability Forum will engage 3,500 young participants in a three-day program designed to assign the next generation of climate leaders, while the Women in Sustainability, Environment, and Renewable Energy Forum will amplify women’s contributions to the sustainability debate.
The Zayed Sustainability Prize, a cornerstone of the event, will determine and celebrate innovators creating transformative change in energy, water, food, climate action, and healthcare, with the Awards Ceremony taking place on 14 January.
Over its 15-year history, ADSW has become a global platform for fostering impactful alliances and advancing the sustainability agenda. The 2025 edition will build on this heritage by focusing on systemic solutions and bold action to drive a new era of sustainable development.
Key events during the week include the IRENA Assembly on 12 and 13 January, the Global Climate Finance Annual Meeting on 13 January, and the ADSW Opening Ceremony on 14 January, followed by the ADSW Summit, the Green Hydrogen Summit, and The Festival at Masdar City. With a comprehensive program of dialogues, forums, and exhibitions, ADSW 2025 is poised to set the tone for a year of transformative progress in global sustainability.
