Abu Dhabi: Final preparations are complete for the 23rd Zayed Charity Run, set to take place on 23rd November at Erth Abu Dhabi under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region.
Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, declared that nearly 9,000 participants across various age groups have registered for the event, marking a significant surge in interest. With a total prize pool of $4,08,389 (AED1.5 million), the run will sustain the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in raising awareness, providing assistance, and advancing research for a cure.
The event will commence at 7:00 am with a 10 km race for People of Determination, followed by the 10 km professional race at 7:05 am. Additional categories will run throughout the morning, topping in an awards ceremony at 9:00 am to honor the winners.

Parking and shuttle services will be available at Wahat Al Karama from 4:00 to 5:30 am and Zayed Sports City from 4:00 to 6:30 am. Roads in the vicinity will be closed to vehicles starting at 6:00 am. Participants are encouraged to assemble their race packets at Erth Abu Dhabi between 5:00 and 10:00 pm. Upon collection, they must confirm their personal details and race categories. Proxy pickup is permitted with a valid ID.
Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Al Kaabi praised the efforts of the organizing committee, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and other partners for their contributions to the event’s success. Al Kaabi underscored the charity run’s significance as a reflection of the humanitarian values of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and its role in promoting generosity and community support.
