Abu Dhabi: The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation is set to host the 16th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship from November 6 to 16 at the Mubadala Arena.
The 12-day Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship features competitions across various categories and age groups, beginning with the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Festival for kids on 6-7 November 2024.
Schedule of competitions
Para Jiu-Jitsu Competition: Scheduled for November 7, focusing on athletes with determination.
Youth Competitions: Taking place on November 8 and 9, allowing younger competitors to showcase their skills.
Amateur Events: Set for November 10 and 11, giving amateur athletes the chance to compete.
Masters’ Competitions: Scheduled for November 12 and 13, highlighting experienced practitioners.
Professional Competitions: Running from November 14 to 16, where elite athletes will compete for top honors.
The championship will conclude with the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Awards on November 17, celebrating the achievements of champions and recognizing outstanding clubs and entities within the sport.
This year, the championship will, for the first time, bring together over 9,000 male and female athletes from top clubs and academies across 137 countries. Competitors will have the opportunity to showcase their skills, improve their global rankings, and contend for a prize pool surpassing Dh3 million ($816,000).
