Qatar: France beats Morocco 2-0 in the most awaited second semi-final of World Cup 2022. It is now official that the defending Champion will face the blue in the final.
Theo Hernández scored in five minutes with an excellent finish as France reached its fourth World Cup final just four years after winning in Russia. In the 79th minute, Randal Kolo Muani taps one home to give the defending champion a 2-0 lead.
But, Morocco, the first African team to advance past the quarterfinals of the World Cup, should be proud of itself for battling to keep up with France before Kolo Muani’s game-winning goal.

The last time a defending World Cup champion made it to the championship game was France in 1998. Lionel Messi and Argentina now await as France seeks to win back-to-back World Cup titles.
“Here we go again. It’s just an amazing feeling. We suffered a lot, especially in the second half. We played too deep and they showed they’re not a team only focused on defending. They know how to attack. They deserve a lot of credit for this World Cup. Now the last step, the most difficult.” France captain Hugo Lloris remarked.
However, while Messi dazzled his way into the final with a goal and an assist in the semifinal against Croatia, Mbappé did not display the same striker magic during the match against Morocco. Morocco came close to scoring on several occasions but bowed out of the semifinal without a goal. The Moroccans will face Croatia in the third-place match Saturday.
