Abu Dhabi: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Frontline Heroes Office, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, emphasized that volunteering has grown to be associated with the Emirati people, representing the altruistic legacy of the late Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The Chairman said that, “On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the launch of the National Platform for Volunteers – Volunteers.ae’, which falls today, we express our pride in this pioneering project that mirrors our firm values and principles of giving, cooperation, and solidarity, instilled in us by the late Sheikh Zayed, and have become distinguishing merits of our society.”
“Since the establishment of our beloved country, we have recognised that the true strength of nations is based on its people’s unity and solidarity. Volunteering is not just a charitable work; it is a bridge that connects various segments of society and enhances the sense of belonging and shared responsibility. We have witnessed a notable increase in the number of volunteers on the platform, and their cooperation and support for the frontline heroes in all times and fields reflect the commitment of the people of the UAE to the spirit of giving and participation,” he added.
Sheikh Sultan also expressed his appreciation to partners, teams, and all of the Frontline Heroes volunteers.
About National Platform for Volunteers
The UAE Volunteer Platform recognizes that a strong nation is built on a society that values giving. To maximize the social impact of volunteering across all seven Emirates and to ensure volunteers can operate smoothly, the UAE Volunteer Platform— the country’s first and largest smart, nationwide platform—runs a comprehensive program focused on development and regulation.
The Platform’s main goal is to expand the volunteer community in the UAE. It enables volunteers to match their skills and competencies with opportunities offered by both public and private sector organizations throughout the Emirates. Volunteers can specify their interests and availability, while organizations with volunteering needs can post vacancies according to specific categories and requirements.
Acting as a dynamic, user-friendly resource, the UAE Volunteer Platform promotes volunteerism on both ends. It fosters a culture of giving that aims to make the UAE an inspiration to the world. Join the Platform now and set an example for others.
