Dubai: UAE rider Mohammed Al Balooshi has delighted home crowds by securing his third FIM Bajas World Cup title, marking a historic achievement as the first Arab rider to achieve this milestone. Despite finishing second in the Dubai International Baja event, Al Balooshi’s consistent concerts throughout the season made him the top spot in the championship standings.
The FIM Bajas World Cup finished with Poland’s Konrad Dabrowski taking the win on his KTM 450, while Sultan Al Balooshi claimed third, rounding off a stellar showing for the Al Balooshi family. In the FIA Baja World Cup, Portugal’s Joao Ferreira appeared victorious in the overall championship for cars, with a second-place finish in Dubai cementing his season-long dominance. Meanwhile, Qatar’s Nasser Al Attiyah extended his reign in the Dubai International Baja with a record-breaking 13th victory in the event.
The UAE also celebrated Abdulaziz Ahli’s excellent performance in the Quads category, where he claimed a commanding victory. Poland’s Joanna Modrzewska, known for her consistent displays throughout the season, secured the Women’s championship title.
Adding to the excitement, Dubai-based Briton Alex McInnes impressed fans with his blistering pace on Stage 3, registering the fastest time across the dunes. The Dubai International Baja once again showcased the region’s premier motorsport talents while underlining the growing prominence of Middle Eastern competitors on the global stage.
