Abu Dhabi: UAE judoka Bishrelt Khorloodoi has achieved first gold medal at the Abu Dhabi Judo Grand Slam 2024. Competing in the 52kg category, Khorloodoi faced Mongolia’s Sosorbaram in a tight final at Mubadala Arena, securing success and marking a notable milestone for the UAE’s judo set.
Khorloodoi’s path to victory in Abu Dhabi Judo Grand Slam 2024 was outstanding. She started by conquering Brazilian champion Conceicao Gabriela in the preliminary rounds. Her momentum resumed as she bested Kosovan champion Muminoviq Erza, eventually earning her place in the final. In the gold medal match, she exceeded Sosorbaram, sealing her position as a top competitor in international judo.
The Abu Dhabi Judo Grand Slam opening ceremony was heeded by distinguished figures, including Jabr Al Suwaidi, Minister of State; Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Darei, President of the UAE Judo Federation; Marius Vizer, President of the International Judo Federation (IJF); and several other prominent leaders from the international judo community.
Held over three days, the Abu Dhabi Judo Grand Slam is organized under the supervision of the IJF and backed by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. Abu Dhabi Judo Grand Slam is expected to draw top judo athletes worldwide, further establishing Abu Dhabi as an international hub for the sport.
