Abu Dhabi: The Indian Embassy has sought the assistance of accredited organizations to help Indian nationals benefit from the UAE Visa amnesty program.
During a meeting at the embassy, Ambassador Sunjay Sudhir requested organization representatives to cooperate and establish special counters at their headquarters. The focus was also on intensifying awareness campaigns.
The embassy has asked organizations to assist in preparing applications at BLS centers for those with expired passports to obtain new ones and to facilitate applications to the ICP for amnesty. Organizations are also expected to provide copies of necessary supporting documents. The embassy will soon provide a checklist of tasks for these organizations. Additionally, they are encouraged to consider the needs of those who cannot afford return tickets.
Ambassador Sudhir mentioned that eligible individuals would receive airline tickets through welfare funds, with organizational cooperation being vital. The focus should be on areas with a high concentration of workers. The ambassador also noted efforts to waive BLS service charges for passports and outpasses for amnesty applicants.
